    About Our VITA Program

Since 1975, Seattle University (SU) has been an active participant in the VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program. SU’s Department of Accounting works continuously to educate its student volunteers to process tax returns with accuracy and professional diligence. In partnership with United Way of King County, SU prepares future and current accountants to add value to the surrounding community by aiding low-income residents with individual tax returns. Our goal is to provide high-quality free tax return assistance to households within our community. Through this experience, students learn the value of community service and develop life-long leadership skills.
